When Every Second Counts, Count on Us

The Cline Emergency Center at Baxter Health is the best place you can be when you or a family member needs critical emergency care. With a newly renovated waiting room, more beds, and a more efficient system of treating patients; the most valuable seconds are never wasted.

Our Team is Always Ready to Act

Every second counts in an emergency and to make sure everyone in the North Central Arkansas/South Central Missouri region has access to critical medical care at a moment’s notice, we have created a fast-acting ambulance and paramedic operation that can quickly provide care to Baxter and Marion Counties. These services also extend to Izard, Fulton, Searcy, and Ozark Counties as a mutual aid responder in case of wide-spread emergencies.

Our team is prepared to provide emergency care quickly the event of:

  • Stroke
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Heart attack
  • Falling unconscious
  • Severe, nonstop bleeding
  • Excessive vomiting
  • Poisoning
  • Severe abdominal pains
  • Any other potentially life-threatening conditions

We are always prepared to treat patients during the "golden hour" following a stroke. Baxter Health is a participant in the Arkansas SAVES program, which means that we have an experienced neurologist on call at all times, ready for treatment when it's most needed!

Holistic Care for Patients and Families

Medical emergencies are stressful for everyone involved. Our hospital provides patients with access to physical therapy and counseling, so that they can work through the emotional damage potentially caused by an unexpected medical situation without feeling alone in their pain or trauma.

A sudden emergency does more than just physical harm- it can be emotionally damaging and take a toll on your mental state of mind. At Baxter Health, we go beyond treating the outward symptoms and physical wounds to provide the highest level of Compassionate Care Beyond Measure.

Arkansas SAVES

Virtual Stroke Assistance in North Central Arkansas

Many of Arkansas’ rural hospitals without the support of a neurologist often forgo administration of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), as they lack the staff resources to accurately identify and manage tPA candidates. Further, the window of time needed to effectively administer tPA is often lost when stroke patients are transported to a better-equipped, remote hospital. As such, Arkansas’ stroke patients are missing out on a quality-of-life-saving drug that significantly improves the chances of recovery while reducing permanent, stroke-related disability and, quite possibly, mortality.

AR SAVES (Stroke Assistance through Virtual Emergency Support) has implemented a stroke management system specifically targeting these shortcomings by increasing access to subspecialty expertise through telemedicine technology, thereby engineering a coordinated assessment and care-based plan for Arkansas’ stroke patients. Baxter Health is proud to be one of 48 partnering AR SAVES sites and is equipped with telemedicine technology to access a vascular neurologist 24/7.
