Call Baxter Health’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation at (870) 508-3300.
For over 20 years, Baxter ’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit helped countless patients recover their strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall functionality. We provide access to the only state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility that serves southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. Our team of dedicated rehabilitation specialists works around the clock to help our patients regain their independence and live happier and healthier lives.
Our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides comprehensive, personalized, and flexible treatment plans to patients who have been harmed or disabled by illnesses or injuries. Our primary goal is to help our patients regain the ability to live and work independently. We thoroughly evaluate each patient that is referred to the center and provide them with an all-encompassing and customized treatment plan to help them recover safely and effectively.
Rehabilitation, in general, is meant to treat physical or mental problems, difficulties with daily activities, problems related to feeding and communication, and concentration and self-care issues. A successful rehabilitation will require a natural and healthy move from the hospital back into society and your home. This transition is made possible by the support of the patient’s family and friends, and our specialized rehabilitation experts. You can be sure that we will be with you every step of the way to address all of your questions and concerns.
Before we admit patients into our inpatient rehabilitation program, we always conduct a thorough assessment of the patient-to-be. This assessment will determine whether or not the patient’s specific medical condition would benefit from our services. One of our rehabilitation team members can perform this assessment at the hospital, at a doctor’s office, or even in the comfort of your own home. This assessment is completely free of charge and it is initiated by an order from the patient’s primary doctor. Our rehabilitation center’s medical director is the person in charge of authorizing patients’ admission into our comprehensive program.
