Baxter Health Welcomes G. Phillip Schoettle, MD, to Cardiothoracic Surgery Program
Baxter Health is pleased to welcome G. Phillip Schoettle, MD, to our cardiothoracic surgery program. With the addition of Dr. Schoettle and the continued excellence of current providers Natalie Ostro, MD, and F. Michael Bauer, MD, Baxter Health further strengthens its commitment to delivering exceptional cardiothoracic care.
Dr. G. Phillip Schoettle recently practiced at St. Francis Hospital, Methodist Healthcare, and Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Schoettle earned his Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He completed an internal medicine internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, followed by a general surgery residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospitals. Dr. Schoettle then completed specialty training in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery in Memphis, where he developed a reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centered surgical care.
Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Schoettle enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with his family and friends, and raising two very spoiled miniature labradoodles.
