Baxter Health Auxiliary Donates New Ambulances to Hospital

Baxter Health Auxiliary Donates New Ambulances to Hospital

The Baxter Health Auxiliary has generously donated yet another pair of new ambulances to the Baxter Health EMS Fleet. The Baxter Health Auxiliary has supported the fundraising arm of the hospital since 1962, providing ongoing financial support to the hospital in various forms to meet critical needs within the community.

These new Baxter Health ambulances will be a tremendous help in the community, assisting in scheduled take-backs, long-distance transports for outbound VA patients and psychiatric patients, as well as simple runs such as a lift-assist request in the community. Having these type II ambulances in the EMS Fleet will allow much more flexibility in how the department will handle call dispatch.

The Baxter Health Foundation provides funding, not only for the hospital in the form of ambulances, facility upgrades, and the latest medical technology, but also focuses largely on community assistance, providing funding for healthcare scholarships, community health education and support houses available to the general public.

“We, at Baxter Health, are so appreciative of our group of volunteers, whose members have a long history of supporting Baxter Health throughout the years. Gracious gifts such as these allow Baxter Health to operate on the cutting edge of medical technology,” noted Baxter Health President and CEO, Ron Peterson.

Becky Rose, CVM, Director of Volunteer Services, adds, “When you shop in the Mountain Home or Flippin Bargain Box Thrift Shops or the hospital gift shop, the Pink-A-Dilly, you are helping the Baxter Health Auxiliary give gifts back to the community, just like our new transport ambulances!"

If you are interested in giving, there are many ways you can help support Baxter Health in your community! Please contact the Baxter Health Foundation at (870) 508-1770 or by email at foundation@baxterregional.org.
