Baxter Regional to Discontinue CARE App

Baxter Regional CARE, the urgent care app launched by Baxter Regional Medical Center in early 2019, will be discontinued as of December 31, 2020. The app, available on iOS and Android phones and tablets, will no longer be accessible, but alternative telehealth options will still be available through local clinics and their providers.

The decision to discontinue came as telehealth visits outside the app began rising due to COVID-19, as urgent care app usage declined. Many local providers are now offering the ability to schedule telehealth visits through their individual clinics and practices. This model has shown to be a more efficient way for Baxter Regional to offer telehealth services that better serve our community.

“I believe our telehealth options outside of the Baxter Regional CARE app are more than enough to continue providing excellent care to every patient, every time,” stated Ron Peterson, President and CEO of Baxter Regional Medical Center.
