Baxter Health Foundation Invites Fulton County Community to Meet and Greet Event on July 7

The Baxter Health Foundation is inviting the Fulton County community to come out and get acquainted at Rooted in Care: A Community Meet and Greet, scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital.

The event is free and open to everyone. Attendees can enjoy a complimentary lunch of hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks, and will have the chance to win $500 cash through the KTLO Treasure Chest, which will be on-site throughout the event. Multiple gift card drawings will also be held for those who answer the question: “If you had $1 million to donate today, who or what would you support, and why?”

Representatives from the Baxter Health Community Support Houses, including the Mruk Family Center on Aging, the Peitz Cancer Support House, and the Schliemann Center for Women’s Health, will be on hand to share information about the free services available to patients and families in the region. A member of the Baxter Health Auxiliary will also be present to talk about volunteer opportunities at Fulton County Hospital. Baxter, the Baxter Health Foundation Dino, will be on-site to help serve lunch and welcome the community.

“When people give to the Baxter Health Foundation, they are investing in their own neighbors,” EZ Niles, Administrator of Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital, said. “That is what makes philanthropy so powerful in a community like ours. We do not have the luxury of assuming someone else will step in. We take care of each other here, and the Foundation is a big part of how we do that.

”The event requires no registration or tickets. The community is simply encouraged to stop by, enjoy a free meal, and meet the people and programs working to support Fulton County every day.“We are so excited to bring this event to Fulton County,” Sarah Edwards, Executive Director of the Baxter Health Foundation, said. “This community has meant so much to Baxter Health for a long time, and this is our chance to show up, say thank you, and share what the Foundation is doing right here close to home.”
