Baxter Health Welcomes Charles "Chuck" Heitman as Behavioral Health and Community Relations Specialist

Baxter Health is pleased to announce that Charles “Chuck” Heitman, MSSC, BSIS, ABM, will be transitioning into the role of Behavioral Health and Community Relations Specialist for the Baxter Health service area. In this role, Chuck will continue to serve as a liaison between referral providers, the community, and the Baxter Health Behavioral Health Units.

Heitman brings a wealth of experience in behavioral health and community services, most recently serving as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Baxter Health, where he was responsible for intake assessments for the adult and geriatric behavioral health units. His professional journey includes roles as a Community/Client Support Specialist at Ozarks Healthcare Crisis Stabilization Center, a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider for Families Inc., a Case Manager for Health Resources of Arkansas, and a Juvenile Officer for Baxter/Marion County Juvenile Services.

Heitman holds a Master of Strategic Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arkansas State University - Jonesboro. His diverse educational background, with an emphasis on Sociology, Communication, and Business, coupled with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management from Arkansas State University - Mountain Home, positions him uniquely to lead Baxter Health Behavioral Health community relations.

“Chuck will begin promoting behavioral health events within the community and form community partnerships to improve the outcomes for individuals in our community with behavioral health needs,” said Karen Painter, MSN, RN-BC, Director of Behavioral Health at Baxter Health.

In his new role, Heitman will leverage his skills in patient assessment, community resource management, and rapport building to enhance Baxter Health's commitment to serving the community. He will also continue his work in marketing for the Behavioral Health Units.
