Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (RALP)

Overview

Robotic prostatectomy is a minimally invasive treatment provided by Baxter Regional that involves less blood loss and a faster recovery time.

Sometimes a complete removal of the prostate is necessary. Typically prostatectomies are performed using the da Vinci system to be completed as a minimally invasive procedure.

Benefits to patients

The da Vinci Surgical System is used around the world in many different procedures. Using this system allows most patients to recover more quickly. Blood loss during the procedure is also drastically reduced allowing most patients to regain their strength faster after surgery.
