Once the scholarship coordinator has received your communication accepting the scholarship, a third party authorization will be sent to the college/institution you have selected to earn your degree. The college/institution will send Baxter Health an invoice of your charges for the term, and a check will issued on your behalf.

No, your scholarship follows your degree that you are receiving. For example: If you have completed your ASN degree and would like to continue your education to obtain a BSN, you will need to apply for a new scholarship for the BSN degree.
Scholarship payments are issued once the scholarship coordinator has received an invoice from your school. Typically payments for spring term are in January, summer in May, and fall in August.
At Baxter Health, we understand that things may come up that will affect your enrollment in college. If you need to take a break from college, you must communicate that with the scholarship coordinator so that your scholarship can remain active and avoid any repayment process. However, there is a maximum of one year break that is allowed upon confirmation from the scholarship coordinator.
Baxter Health's Nurse Residency Program is a separate program, to which Scholarship Recipients, if interested in working at Baxter Health, must apply prior to graduating.
The Residency Program requires an on-line application, resume and unofficial transcript be submitted for review and consideration. There is an interview process similar to other employment opportunities.
All students are required to fulfill their work commitment agreement and must seek employment with Baxter Health to avoid paying back any scholarship funds that they have received. All students who are currently employed with Baxter Health upon receiving their new degree, will need to provide Human Resources with their newly earned degree to discuss their eligibility for a salary increase or a new position with their higher degree.
Per the Scholarship Agreement (THE EMPLOYEE CHILD/GRANDCHILD SCHOLARSHIP IS EXEMPT), you will have to repay all scholarship funds received if you do not complete the work commitment. No. Payment plans are available and can be split up evenly for up to 36 months depending on the total amount owed (options listed below). You must contact the Finance Department at 870-508-1080 to set up a payment plan once you have received your invoice to avoid any collections.
Payment Plan Options: $25-$900 = 12 months, $901-$2,250 = 18 months, $2,251-$3,600 = 24 months, $3,601-$6,000 = 30 months, $6,001 and above = 36 months.
