About Spencer
Dr. Grigg completed his residency training in internal medicine and then went on to complete fellowship training in general cardiology, both through UCHealth and the University of Colorado. In June 2026 he completed an advanced fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, one of the country's leading academic health systems. That path reflects the dedication of a physician who has spent years going deeper into one of cardiology's most technically demanding specialties.
In practice, that means Grigg is trained to perform catheter ablation procedures, a minimally invasive technique used to correct abnormal electrical pathways in the heart that cause irregular rhythms. He is also experienced in implanting pacemakers and defibrillators, devices that help the heart maintain a safe and steady beat. For patients with atrial fibrillation who cannot tolerate blood thinners long-term, he is trained in Watchman-type procedures, which can reduce stroke risk through an alternative approach. He brings experience with the latest ablation technologies, including methods that are more precise and often associated with faster recovery.
Grigg describes his approach to patient care simply: listen closely, explain things clearly, and treat patients the way he would want his own family treated. He believes patients deserve to understand their diagnosis and know their options, and he is committed to working alongside patients, their families, and referring physicians to build treatment plans that make sense for real people living real lives.
Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Grigg and his family look forward to putting down roots in Mountain Home. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, volunteering, traveling, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking, which makes Mountain Home an ideal landing place.
