About Kirsten

Kirsten Cotter brings more than two decades of Baxter Health experience to her new role in the Gastroenterology Clinic, where she joins Dr. Abodunrin S. Badejo, Dr. William S. Dyer Sr., Patricia Acklin, APRN, Kimber Jensen, APRN, and Amanda Stricklin, APRN. Cotter has been a registered nurse and charge nurse with the health system since 2001, and her transition to APRN is a natural next step in a career built on continuous growth and a deep commitment to patients across North Central Arkansas.

Cotter earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and her Master of Science in Nursing, both from Missouri State University, completing her advanced practice training while continuing to serve patients as a registered nurse. She also brings experience as a clinical instructor at Missouri State University's West Plains campus, helping prepare the next generation of nursing students for practice. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Gastroenterology Association.

Her clinical background spans burn unit nursing at Arkansas Children's Hospital, float pool and charge nursing, and university-level clinical instruction, giving her a broad foundation for the variety of conditions she'll see in the GI clinic. Outside of work, Cotter enjoys time on the lake, the outdoors, and spending time with family, friends, and her two French Bulldogs.
