Baxter Health and Mruk Family Center on Aging to Host "Stand Tall, Don't Fall" Senior Fall Prevention Carnival & Fun Fair
Baxter Health and the Mruk Family Center on Aging are pleased to announce the upcoming "Stand Tall, Don't Fall" Senior Fall Prevention Carnival & Fun Fair, a free community event designed to educate and empower seniors on fall prevention while delivering a fun, festive experience for all.
The event will be held Friday, April 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Baxter Health Wellness Education Center, located at 2545 Hwy 5 North, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Admission is free.
Attendees can expect a lively carnival atmosphere complete with a magician, balloon artist, carnival games, popcorn, and cotton candy. Beyond the festivities, the event offers meaningful health and wellness programming, including Drum Fitness at 11:00 a.m., Tai Chi demonstrations, home safety education, and fall risk assessments provided by Baxter Health Physical Therapy.
A variety of community resource booths will be on hand, featuring representatives from Baxter Health departments including Hospice of the Ozarks, Acute Rehabilitation, Home Health, the Reppell Diabetes Clinic, the Fairlamb Senior Clinic, and Baxter Health Pharmacy. Additional community partners include Area Agency on Aging, Care Manor, Home Instead, AudioNova, and many more — offering seniors and their families a one-stop resource for health, wellness, and support services available in the region.
For seniors needing transportation, additional parking will be available at the Mruk Family Center on Aging, with a complimentary shuttle departing from the Mruk Center beginning at 9:45 a.m. The shuttle returns upon request.
