Baxter Health Welcomes Victoria Belopolsky, MD, Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Baxter Health is pleased to welcome Victoria Belopolsky, MD, to our medical staff as a board-certified cardiac anesthesiologist. Dr. Belopolsky brings over two decades of experience in advanced cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesiology, transplant anesthesia, and perioperative care.

Dr. Belopolsky joins us from Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in Dubois, Pennsylvania, where she had served as a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist since 2023. From 2009 to 2019, she was an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also practiced at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, serving as a cardiothoracic and general anesthesiologist.

Dr. Belopolsky completed her cardiovascular anesthesiology fellowship and anesthesiology residency at the University at Buffalo in New York. She began her medical career in Kiev, Ukraine, earning her Doctor of Medicine from Ukraine National Medical University, after attending Kiev College of Nursing Sciences.

She holds certifications from the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology and is also certified in advanced imaging for mechanical circulatory support devices and combined heart and liver transplant anesthesiology. She is a Diplomate in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography, certified by the National Board of Echocardiography.

Dr. Belopolsky has contributed to several research studies related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygenation strategies, blood transfusion outcomes, and surgical process improvements. Her professional expertise spans cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia, structural heart procedures, transplant anesthesiology, pediatric and obstetric anesthesia, trauma and critical care, and perioperative teaching and leadership.

Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Belopolsky enjoys horseback riding, volunteering for the Humane Society, reading, skiing, hiking, political history, classical music, and photography.
