About F. Michael
Dr. Bauer is a highly trained and board-certified surgeon specializing in thoracic and cardiac surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before completing his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences School of Medicine in Little Rock.
Dr. Bauer went on to complete an internship in General Surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He continued his surgical training with a comprehensive General Surgery residency across The Genesee, Highland, St. Mary’s, and Strong Memorial Hospitals at the University of Rochester. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Strong Memorial and Rochester General Hospitals, also through the University of Rochester.
