Fulton County Hospital Unveils New Name and Logo to Employees

To celebrate National Hospital Week, Baxter Health provided a special surprise to the Fulton County Hospital team by delivering shirts with the new Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital logo. Fulton County Hospital is eager for the integration into the Baxter Health System, effective January 1, 2025. Until the integration is complete, Fulton County Hospital will operate under the current management agreement with Baxter Health, benefitting from its comprehensive operational oversight.

“The unveiling of our new logo and the introduction of new shirts for our staff symbolize a fresh start and a visual representation of our growth and unity. Baxter Health is well-equipped to bring its wealth of knowledge, resources, and cutting-edge treatments to the Salem area and beyond. I am so proud of our employees for how well they are adjusting to the transition, and I have no doubt that the future is bright for Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital,” said Anthony Reed, Interim Administrator of Fulton County Hospital.

We look forward to better serving our patients and providing compassionate care,” said Sarah Oelschlaeger, RN, ER Manager at Fulton County Hospital.

Established in 1963, Fulton County Hospital has since undergone multiple expansions and enhancements to meet the growing demands of Salem and its surrounding regions. In 1968, a second emergency room was added, along with a new surgery suite. The 1970s brought the addition of an ambulance service, new bed accommodations, and an expansion for support services. In 1993, Fulton County Hospital celebrated 30 years of service to Salem. Fast-forward to July of 2008, the hospital opened a new ER and Outpatient Procedure wing. Fulton County Hospital has continued to provide quality healthcare despite the challenges faced by rural hospitals nationwide, affirming its role as a vital community hospital.

The union with the Baxter Health System introduces a new era for Fulton County Hospital, and we look forward to celebrating this integration this summer at a community-wide event.
