SENIOR SELF DEFENSE

About This Event

  • Event Type:Mruk Family Center on Aging
Details:

Just because you’re post-retirement doesn’t mean you can’t protect yourself – you just have to learn how. When you were younger, you may have been able to hold your own with your fists, but now that you’re older, that’s not going to cut it. Now you’ve got to learn how to fight back when in an attacker situation, using what’s available.

Senior Self Defense will be Tuesday, June 11 at the Mruk Family Education Center on Aging and taught by Paul Mruk, a retired Memphis Police Captain who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 6 years and the Air National Guard for 12 years. A Baxter Regional volunteer for 14 years, Paul was a 2010 inductee into the Arkansas Senior Hall of Fame.

This class is instructional and non-contact. Techniques and tips are taught in a fun and safe atmosphere. You do not need to be in top physical condition or dressed in exercise attire to attend.
